For Those Who Have Insight…

Published by nancyarantwilliams at 6:34 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Have you ever noticed how Scripture distinguishes believers from unbelievers? It uses the word “insight” to describe those who know God personally.

It really is an intriguing thing to see, this understanding that the Spirit of God gives to those who seek Him. Don’t misunderstand–it’s not that we earn it or are any better than anyone else. Not at all. We are simply saved by grace and blessed with the mind of Christ, which is only available to those who submit to God’s will and worship Him. This is why we see things from a completely different point of view.

On occasion I’ve shared my frustration about the world situation and the lack of wisdom with an unbeliever, (casually, out of frustration), and I knew by the blank look on his face that he had no clue what I was talking about. Some have even violently disagreed, arguing that things were getting better everyday. At that point, of course, the conversation ended, when we simply agreed to disagree. There would obviously be no meeting of the minds there.

But even those who used to think this way can now see that things are deteriorating, rather spinning out of control, with little hope for improvement. And anyone who still believes that way is deceived, like a child who refuses to see what he doesn’t want to see. The thing is–God is the only hope for mankind; Jesus is the only source of salvation, and peace and comfort are only available through the Holy Spirit.

Daniel 12 puts it this way: “And those who have insight will shine brightly, like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.”

That’s where you and I come in. Now is the time to stop living in fear and be bold. It’s not about us; it’s about Him. It’s time to tell the truth in love, that Scripture says Jesus is coming soon–that He is the way, the truth and the life, and no man comes to the Father but through Him.

For the first time we are coming to a time where men will have no options, no good answers. Wealth will fail, men’s answers, particularly secular humanism, and anything apart from God will fail, and some who would never give Christ a second look, will now be ready to listen.

And lest we believe otherwise, we will not be popular with everyone. Those who hate the light and refuse God’s kind of wisdom, will despise us as much as ever, even blaming us for the hard times that come. But those who are seeking the truth, who will go to any lengths to find it, will hear with the ears of the spirit, that Jesus is the answer.

I can’t wait. As bad as things may be, I have a terrible yearning to share the gospel of Christ and see souls come to salvation. I can’t wait until I can shed light in dark places and see hungry hearts fed with the true meat of the Word of God. I can’t wait. I was born for such a time as this and have been frustrated, asking God for years–”Where are those who want to hear? I’m ready to tell them–send them to me.”

So as much as you and I may hate the idea of trials and upheaval in our everyday lives, we can choose to look at this as a time of opportunity, an adventure where we can say to God, “I believe You’re in this, and I know You’ve promised to take care of me, if I’m about my Father’s business. So let’s get this show on the road!”

This is the real thing, folks. Being in the center of God’s will, letting go of our old idols stepping out of our comfort zones to let God use us, and being that light and salt we were meant to be–that’s the place of blessing and satisfaction.

I’ve heard those who went to minister in Russia right after the wall came down, say that people there, who were free to worship God for the first time in years, would stop others in the halls of their apartment houses, and ask, “Do you know know anything about Jesus?”

I’m ready to speak when anyone asks, primed and ready to give an answer to those who want to know about Jesus. What about you?

Because of His great love,

Nancy
