Trading the False for the Real

If you’ve been with me very long, you know I’m holding onto God, believing for a personal revival, everything God has to offer, and I’m not going to let Him go until He blesses me.

Well, let me say that God has been putting puzzle pieces together before my eyes, and many of them have to do with GodTV. Now if you had told me that a Christian television channel was worth watching, I would have shaken my head and said, “I’ve already heard all that, and all they do is make promises they don’t intend to keep and ask for money people don’t have.”

Now some of my friends disagree with me on this, but I’ve seen and heard enough to be suspicious of motives. But I’m sold on my God, and falling in love with Jesus again, asking Him to stir me deeply, so that I’m not just a nominal Christian. I want to turn the world upside down with my passion for God.

I want to stop playing games–stop settling for a poor, dead imitation of the real thing.

In fact, this weekend I was watching the God Channel and saw something I got very excited about. In Alabama there’s a revival going on. Not a typical “Go hear someone talk and start jumping up and down” revival, but a true Holy Spirit revival led by a man named Damon Thompson. He was talking to a crowd of maybe 500 teens, and he said that they were the generation that would turn the world upside down if they followed wherever God would lead with their whole hearts. And then He prayed for them to die to themselves and many got spirit-filled, and were not afraid to worship with wild abandon.

Well, I’m no teenager but I want in on the good stuff, so I listened and watched with rapt attention. And he spoke about two blind men who had heard that Jesus could heal them. Now Jesus was walking to a friend’s home to spend some time, and because those blind men were so focused on getting their healing they just walked right inside that house, following Jesus. Even in that day, it wasn’t good manners to just walk into a stranger’s home, so what they did caused an uproar. But guess what? They got their healing.

Thompson’s message was this: we’re going to have to break a few rules, step over a few threshholds, upset people if we have to, but we can’t settle for less than going after God with every fiber of our being if we want what He has to give. Are you with me here?

If you are satisfied to settle for the old, dead stuff that’s passed for Christianity, stop reading–stop wasting your time, but if you’re tired of it, then plan to do whatever it takes, to get to where Jesus is.

The trouble with most of us is we care more about what others think than about what God thinks. Let me say that again–we care more about what others think than about what God thinks. And God is sick of mediocrity. He says in Revelation that He wants us to be hot or cold, but He spits out those who are lukewarm. And isn’t that exactly what most of us are right now?

Well, let me warn you here. To get where Jesus is we’re going to make some people uncomfortable and make others angry. We’re going to embarrass some, and convict others just by being hot for God. We’re going to be as politically incorrect as it gets, and be in trouble everywhere we go, so we’d better get over caring what other people think.

God says now is the time to get serious about being a believer. And the signs of the times are saying that from now on it’s going to cost a great deal to be a sold-out believer in Jesus. But I’m sick to death of playing church. I want more, and I’m not going to settle for anything less. What about you? I’m going to crucify my own desires, and hang on every word Jesus says, asking Him to use me as never before. There’s one thing though, it takes obedience I’m not sure I’ve ever understood. It takes commitment and doing the hard things, the uncomfortable things, getting out of that old rut and following hard after God.

But I’m excited. I see Him breaking the old stuff off me, so that I can fly as if light as a feather. And I want that with everything inside me, and I’m going for the goal.

Come along, won’t you? And together we can change the world.

Because of His great love,

Nancy

Drug Safety Warning–Gardasil!

I just read something that I must pass on. If you have pre-teen daughters and granddaughters, this message is of vital importance, so pass it on!

Perhaps like me you’ve seen the television ads for Gardasil, the new drug touted by Merck Pharmaceuticals that claims to protect against sexually transmitted diseases. I read up on the subject, and the company literature states it has few if any side effects, while the online complaint sites are saying otherwise–big time.

At least six deaths have resulted from Gardasil, while others have had seizures and even blood clots, which are often fatal. The most alarming thing is that our government, in it’s questionable wisdom, is pushing to make mandatory the innoculation of every girl age 11 to 12, as if all girls are sexually promiscuous, and none have the good sense to live in righteousness.

This is, in the first place, government interference of the highest order, and demands a dramantic and unrestrained reaction from believers everywhere. That any government entity can dictate to private citizens what they must or must not give their children is a civil rights issue, and unconstitutional.

And because this drug’s efficacy hasn’t even been proven, I feel there has to be money changing hands somewhere that this has even been up for discussion. Merck stands to make billions of dollars if this becomes mandatory.

My point must be perfectly clear here. I am a retired RN, very much on the alert for things like this, and I’m issuing my own personal warning: This is a dangerous drug. It is not a panacea for those who want to live like there is no tomorrow, no day of reckoning. Gardasil isn’t going to prevent illness, it’s going to cause it, and if a girl dies, she will stand before God to answer for her behavior.

Under no circumstances let your 11-12 year old daughters, granddaughters or anyone you know, get in line for this treatment, without warning them of the dangers. At least go online to the consumer complaint sites–they have them for everything. You can research nearly anything you’re unsure about, and often things that have been advertised as safe and effective have a list of bad outcomes as long as my arm. Just type in your search bar Gardasil consumer complaints.

I do this for anything I’m considering, and it has often changed my mind completely. At this point, I never trust the government’s lies or those of drug companies, who have an agenda of their own. They aren’t developing these drugs to help people, but to make money. Philanthropy is not their bottom line, so make no mistake about it. All drugs have side effects, so think twice before taking anything unnecessary.

Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit if we know Christ, and we are to guard them as if it were so.

Warn everyone you know about this drug. We need a consumer wave of outrage to overcome such lunacy. Wisdom must prevail to preserve the lives of our precious children.

Let a word to the wise be sufficient.

Seeking the Lord While He May Be Found…

You and I who love Jesus could be very overwhelmed now by all the evil we see going on in Washington. There are times, in fact, when I find myself weeping over America, remembering how Jesus wept over Jerusalem.

It’s hard to watch, and I often find myself asking God why. Well, we reap what we sow, according to Scripture. And we as a nation thumbed our nose at God and said, “We want you out of our lives.” And so He stepped out leaving us to our own devices.

Because of the terrible pressure on our godly representatives, we need to be praying for them daily. Some very wise and godly men are trying to stay the tide of evil and foolishness, but it’s an uphill battle and has to be very discouraging.

As much as I would love to hate those who are bringing us down, Jesus said to pray for them and to forgive them. It sometimes feels very unfair that I don’t even get to hate or judge them for their evil ways.  But I know a little secret that a mentor once taught me.

She said that if you and I are hating and judging people, even those who are doing evil, we have assumed the role of judge, forcing God to step back, essentially tying His hands in the situation. However, when we forgive, we invite God back into the equation to work in ways we might never have imagined.

So when I look at those in Washington who are out of line, I choose to loose them into the hands of the Only One who can do a thing about it. I ask Him to be their judge, to let them see their end without Christ, to break the yoke of bondage and break their hearts over their sin. And then I get into that secret place, basking in the love of God–that safe place no one can take away from me, and I let Him minister His peace to me.

That, my friends, is the only place most of us will ever find peace again. We, as Americans, have, for a long time, been very blessed. We’ve been “at rest,” a scriptural term used that means a time of relative peace. But those days are over because God is judging our nation, so we must be prepared to find our peace internally rather than externally, just as God’s people did in Scripture.

Fears, doubts, and feelings of desperation are not of God, though they may be very real. The secret is to look up instead of out, because Jesus is there, and He’s seeking those who seek Him. Does that include you? Remember, we must seek the Lord while He may be found…

Lord, right now we see evil abounding all around us, and yet we thank you that you are sovereign, and that nothing takes you by surprise. We pray for our lawmakers, those with honor, wisdom and righteousness in our government, that you would sustain them, encourage them, lift them up, and speak through them, Father. Give grace and peace, breaking the hearts of those who would bring us to destruction with their greed and foolish decisions. Comfort the fearful, encourage the downcast, lift up the fallen, and let the love of God and the joy of knowing Jesus be written on the tablets of our hearts and on our very foreheads, that all men may see Him in us. Forgive us, Lord, for not taking you at your Word, for losing hope, when you are hope. Let those who have never given a thought to sin, salvation and judgment, be ready to hear as never before, and let your people be ready in season and out of season, to share the gospel. Give us a great harvest of souls, Father, while there’s still time, and help us rejoice because you are the lifter of our heads, and you promise you will never leave us. In your most awesome and glorious name, we pray, amen and amen.

Because of His great love,

Nancy

A Double-minded Man

Scripture says a doubleminded man is unstable in all his ways. Now my flesh would love to argue, “Lord, there are only a couple of tiny areas where I struggle. That doesn’t make me unstable in all my ways, does it?”

And yet there it is in black and white, which I believe, means that there are areas that are hidden from our natural minds, revealed only to the spirit that is open to it, where God reveals areas of hold out.

So the question is: are we ready to receive the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth from God, if that’s what it will take to deliver us, to set us free, and allow us to function the way He wants us to?

An awesome thought, huh?

Isaiah 55:6-7 says this: Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake His ways and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God for He will abundantly pardon.

At first glance it sounds like the Lord is talking about unsaved, unregenerate men. But a closer look lets us see that He uses the word “return” to describe these men. That means they know Him, have tasted the goodness of the Lord and have forsaken His ways.

Could that be describing us who think we walk in righteousness? That should give us pause. If so, it also says “while He may be found.” Doesn’t that means there is a window of opportunity when it’s possible, after which time, it won’t be? That’s how that verse reads to me. So the question is: for those who have an ear to hear, will we ask the Lord to reveal to us areas we’ve never seen where we are NOT walking in righteousness?

Do we dare hear the truth while there’s still time? Think of it this way: If we aren’t doing our assigned tasks, like hearing when God gives us a divine appointment where someone will be saved, healed, delivered, encouraged, or even raised from the dead, who’s doing our work in our absence? No one. And the lost and downcast are dying without a wakeup call.

That revelation breaks my heart, and it should break the heart of every true believer. My friends, we weren’t put here on earth just to have a good time and entertain ourselves with our blessings. We were put here to be the voice and arms and heart of Jesus Christ to those around us who are dying and going straight to hell. There is no other way. We either do our assignments or they don’t get done. I include myself here.

This should be a time of deep soul-searching where we lie prostrate before the Lord, asking Him to reveal to us the deep things we’ve never wanted to know before, so we can let go of our sin and walk in power.

Show us, Lord, before it’s too late and the souls of hell- bound men are required at our hand. Deliver us, Lord, from self-centeredness, because we were bought with great price, the precious blood of Jesus. And let us not take that lightly for a moment.

Because of His great love,

Nancy

Committed or Deluded?

The Lord just showed me something that I haven’t seen before–that living in power takes commitment of every little nook and cranny in our lives. It means we take down our stop signs to the Lord that say, “This is as far as I go.”

And though many of us think we are living in obedience and submission to God, if we ask He’ll show us areas where we have held back, either out of fear, doubt, control, or other emotions we may not even be aware of.

He showed me that though I walk in the gifts I have areas where I am too afraid to give Him complete control.

In fact I just edited a book by a woman who lives every day as if she is at His beck and call and He uses her in incredible, miraculous ways to heal the sick, encourage the downcast, and so much more. There are times when the Lord has had me pray for someone on the spur of the moment in a store or on the street, but not for a long time, and not often. This woman asks Him everyday what her assingment is, and then says, “Help me be willing to obey.”

To be honest, I was heartbroken to see how far I live from walking in complete freedom in the Spirit. In fact, I have rarely seen anyone who functions in such power. Perhaps that’s why we see so few miracles, signs, wonders and healings. We just won’t go all the way with God–we’ve put up stop signs that, because He’s a gentleman, He won’t violate.

His heart is yearning for us to be those hands and feet, going and reaching out to those who are lost and dying. But are we willing to go all the way with God?

I was not only brokenhearted to learn this, but cast down and discouraged, believing I had failed my wonderful God. So I repented and asked Him to show me the way, and He showed me that it wasn’t up to me to muster up that kind of commitment. It was merely up to me to give Him permission to break down those hindering spirits, to heal those hurts, to shatter those fears, building complete confidence in Him. And fortunately, I don’t have to do anything to make it happen, except to yield and hold tight to God, and I even told Him I wasn’t sure I could, but I was willing. Then I felt His smile and His reassuring words, “That’s all it takes.”

What about you? Do you have areas where you want more power, more visions and dreams, more prophetic gifts and understanding? Then ask Him, for He gives to those who ask. And He will use us in power and might in ways we might never have dreamed, to minister to those who are so desperately lost and in despair.

Oh, one last thing…He showed me that He can only entrust His intimate secrets about others with those who forego judging and criticizing others, to those who ask for His heart for the lost. Well, I’m ready to be changed into that kind of woman, even if I’m not there yet.

Use us, Lord, while there’s still time, and help us to let go judging, of limitations and hindrances that force You to set us on the shelf because we’re not ready.

Because of His great love,

Nancy

Using our Authority

Not long ago I mentioned the Kenya pastor and friend I’ve been emailing for several years. He has a huge heart for the unsaved, and frequently goes on preaching crusades with several other pastors. Their entire heart is to have others find Christ. And they are bearing much good fruit, leading hundreds to the Lord.

I’m struggling, however, knowing that though I’m supporting them with financial gifts, it’s not enough. In fact one little five-year-old boy, a pastor’s son, died Thursday after a short illness, when strong medication he was taking, took his life because he had no food to strengthen him. It breaks my heart to know these children are dying.

And as I was praying last night the Lord showed me that we as believers in most of the world have never used our authority in Christ, by using Scripture, to call into being the things that aren’t as though they were.

We have been given that authority in the same way God gave Adam authority over the earth. He told him to tend it and make it fruitful. Those who love Jesus with all their hearts and have no agenda of their own can also use that authority to bless God and others, showing God’s power to the world, and making the gospel come alive.

Few of us in America have ever needed anything that we couldn’t provide for ourselves, but our time is coming when we will need to know that we know that we know, that these truths are not merely Old Testament stories, but powerful Scriptures that are just as alive and applicable today as they were back then. Either God is a liar or He’s telling the truth when He says to claim His promises for what we need. And if our hearts are right and we ask in faith, Scripture says we will get what we ask for. And this applies to moving mountains and even raising the dead. So what are we waiting for? Gideon needs food, so that not one more child dies of starvation, so that’s what I’m believing for. For a harvest so great they can sell it and give it away with the gospel of Jesus Christ, to anyone who will listen. And will hungry people listen if we feed them? No doubt they will.

Some of the Scripture verses I checked out include: Jeremiah 29:11, Jer 31:12-14, Ezek. 34:12-15 & 34:23-28, Lam. 3:;56-59, Ps. 37:23-26, James 1:1-8, Matt 21:18-20, Mark 11:20-25, Zech 10:1, Matt. 21:22, Matt. 7:7, Luke 11:9, James 4:2.
And though this list is by no means exhaustive, I was excited to share these verses with Gideon, after God quickened to my spirit their need to take authority over the ground in which they had just planted seeds for food.

I challenge you to study these Scriptures and see if you can believe God for the supernatural. I want to live as if nothing is impossible with God, and now’s the time to start, because time’s awastin’, and we need to get this lesson down before it’s too late.

Encourage your hearts with these Scriptures and believe God for the impossible. We can change the world, once we take God at His Word in faith. And stand with me in faith, believing for more than an ample harvest of not only food but souls, and not only in Kenya, but here.
Because of His great love,

The Line in the Sand

You know that imaginary line in the sand everyone’s always talking about? Well, it’s been drawn by liberals who will soon be daring us to step over it. So what will we do?

For years we as both conservative Americans and believers have ducked our responsibility to speak out, worried that it would somehow make people think less of us, or even incite persecution, but hey, it’s here. We either defend it or lose it.

And you know what? I’m tired of being told to shut up and sit down. I’m tired of hiding, worried about what’s going to happen next. Jesus bled and died for me, so I’m going to stand up and shout from the rooftops that right is right and wrong is wrong, because God said so, and I agree.

What’s wrong with being violently holy? Not holier-than- thou holy, but positively secure in the knowledge that we have nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing to apologize for.

And just think what we’ll lose if we fail. They want to close our churches, people! They want to stifle our pastors from preaching the Word of God! They want to shut the mouths of Rush Limbaugh and those who defend our freedoms! We dare not let this happen.

So what if people think badly of us? The kind who do that aren’t the kind whose opinion we should care about anyway. And it’s more important that when we answer to God we have clear consciences and can say, “I’ve kept the faith without wavering.”

Now is the time to send in those email petitions, make those phonecalls and faxes, and not become weary in well-doing, because we’ll have the rest of our lives to regret it if we don’t.

Jesus is the only one we need to impress, the only one whose opinion counts, and if we ask He’ll strengthen us, putting that rod of iron in our backbone that shouts to the world, “NO COMPROMISE!”

Join me. Refuse to back down. Refuse to be silenced. Share the gospel in a loving way with anyone who will listen, and get mad at the devil and with evil enough to speak out against it. As wise president, Teddy Roosevelt once said, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” And as Jesus said, “Fear not he who can kill the body, but he who can kill both body and soul.” (Author paraphrase.)

The worst thing I can think of is lying down and letting evil men take over. If we do that, we will have no one to blame but ourselves. We have a powerful, life-changing message the world is desperate to hear, so let’s get about our Father’s business as if it’s a life or death deal, because, believe me–it is.

Because of His great love,

Nancy

Abide in Me

Remember that song? What does it mean to abide in Him? We’ve rather lost the concept of abiding. In fact, where do you even hear that word anymore?

My grandmother knew what it meant to abide. She knew her hiding place was in the shadow of the Almighty, that she could throw her apron up over her head and just commune with God, even when others were around. And she had a gift for praising the Lord all day long and praying without ceasing that I’ve never seen anywhere else.

Who does that anymore? Well, I’m learning. And I think that’s going to be the key to victory during the times that are ahead. I’ve always hoped we’d be caught up before things got much worse, but whatever happens, I need to know I have a hiding place where I can go to be filled, refreshed, and comforted. The truth is, if we look back at history, God doesn’t always remove His children from the fire. Sometimes He walks through it with them. And if that’s the plan I don’t want to be hindered because I had preconceived and incorrect ideas that I was holding onto more than I was holding onto God.

We can truly be excited during these days, because if we’ve ever wanted souls, even asked God for souls, this is the time we’ll see them come, ready to hear and receive. I’ve asked for souls, in fact, my heart aches for those who don’t know Christ, those who are headed for a terrible end without God.

These are the times we need to draw near and press in, making our requests known to God, and believing Him for answers as never before. He says, “Ask,” so why don’t we? Because most of us have never needed answers this way before. We’ve never experienced signs and wonders and miracles, but our time is coming. Scripture says that in the end times the devil will counterfeit amazing things, but if we look back into the Old Testament we find that God trumped every single fake miracle the devil ever did. So we can be confident we are on the winning side, that when we pray for healing, God will touch if we don’t doubt. That He will provide and redeem and give victory if we stand in faith. The thing is, we’ve never needed to do this before, and we’re going to need a crash course in last days power.

Well, that’s what I’ve signed up for. Bring it on, Lord, and reveal everything I need to know to be equipped for what’s coming. Let me exalt your name above everything else, and let me see your glory, to build my faith taller than those mountains that hinder us.

And most of all, I want to learn to abide in you, in that hiding place where all is peace, and the glory of the Lord fills the space where it abides. That’s the place where I want to be. What about you?

Because of His great love,

Nancy

How Did We Get Into Such a Mess?

Are you struggling as I am with what’s happening today? I look around me as if in a dream from which I can’t wake, and shake my head. How did this happen? Why doesn’t somebody do something to stop our downward spiral?

And then I focus on the truth, that God is sovereign. This hasn’t taken Him by surprise, nor has it altered His plans. What’s happening now is actually a part of His plan of judgment, whether we want to hear it or not.

Obviously this isn’t His perfect will for our country, but we walked away from that when we denied our responsibility to live in holiness. In essence we sold our godly birthright for the chance to live like the devil. Now I’m not saying this describes all of us, but those of us who held fast did little to stop the tide of sin that swept over us. We insulated ourselves from the world as if to make it all go away. And many of those who held fast for a time eventually ended up selling their souls in exchange for the good life.

Not that there weren’t preachers preaching the gospel. They were, but most people had little use for the gospel, and even some of those preachers fell into temptation or led people astray with promises of even greater prosperity. In truth, we’ve fallen so far from our roots that we are scarcely recognizable as the one-time model of righteousness, compassion and wisdom the world looked up to.

In some ways our wealth has been our undoing. We, like the rich man in Scripture, patted ourselves on the back and said, “Be at ease my soul, for you have built up barns full of good things to last for many years. In fact, you have so much you should now pull down those barns and build bigger ones.” (Author paraphrase.)

And so we focused our attention on our things, rather than seeking God and asking Him how He wanted us to live and use that wealth. How many of us have ever won one soul to Christ? How many chances have we had that we ignored or didn’t even notice? How many people are languishing in hell forever because we did not take seriously the Great Commission?

We could’ve done so much with our wealth. We could’ve personally helped feed the starving, ministered to the poor and ill, the widows and those without hope, and supported missionaries and ministries. We could’ve touched our neighbors with the love of God during a time of need. And maybe we did that on occasion, but couldn’t we have done more? We have the good news, the best news of all time. But what have we done with it? Most of us were doing our own thing, giving only token assent to the gospel, essentially hiding our light under that bushel basket Scripture talks about. Burying our talent in the ground, just like the man in Matthew who was sent into outer darkness forever.

I personally have done so much less than I could have, that now I can only say, “God, forgive me. Help me wake up and redeem the time, because it’s fleeting, and the days are evil.”

The time has come for us to wake from sleep, throw off all the weights that beset us, the things, material and mental that hinder us, and commit to following God in obedience. To loving and serving Him with all our hearts, souls and minds, and shouting from the rooftops that Jesus is alive and well on Planet Earth, and that He’s coming soon.

Today is the day of salvation for those who will hear the gospel, so let’s not waste one more moment of time wishing for the “old days.” The old days are gone forever, so let’s look up and get about our Father’s business, and make every day count for eternity.

Because of His great love,

Nancy

UFOs? What Shall We Believe?

I’ve never given much credence to the notion of UFOs, and I think many other Christians feel the same way. There simply was no place for it in my understanding of doctrine. Until now. As much as I hate to admit it, I had to rethink my views on the subject as I listened to a Bible teacher and prophecy expert on the God Channel. I believe his name was Chuck Smith.

He said something very thought-provoking. He said that there is good reason to believe the notion of UFOs, based upon Genesis Scriptures (see Genesis 6:1-4) that talk about the Nephilim, the creatures born of the union of demons and humans.

He said there is good evidence to support the fact that the UFO abductions are not merely a figment of someone’s vivid imagination, because thousands upon thousands of competent, otherwise upstanding and well-adjusted people testify to being abducted by UFOs. Now as much as I struggle to believe this is possible in our world today, he made a statement to this effect: If it’s true and one day one of these things lands in your neighborhood, it may throw off your entire Christian belief system to the place where you begin to doubt everything you’ve ever believed. That comment really made me think.

I’ve been wrong about other things, so maybe I’ve been wrong about this. Who knows? I guess I’m in the mode to guard my heart–trying to live in faith, in power to believe God, no matter what the situation. After all, we who know Christ have been given authority over principalities and powers. But what about UFOs?

I know this sounds crazy. It does to me, too. Way out. But my point here is, that we must prepare ourselves for any and every eventuality. What better way for the devil to trip us up than tossing UFOs into the mix to destroy all we’ve ever believed?

I’ve always been rather closed-minded when it comes to issues like this, but if I want the Holy Spirit to teach me, I must be open enough to consider the possibilities.

So should we fear these things? Not at all. We must take authority over principalities and powers and prayerfully consider what the Lord tells us to do, for He will order our very steps if we ask Him to. Let us not discount things we have not experienced, merely because they sound far-fetched.

In fact, I believe that in the last days many outlandish things will happen that seem questionable, because it’s the very nature of Satan to unleash his last best effort to thwart the plan of God. We will see signs and wonders, but not just God’s miraculous intervention, but Satan’s attempt to confuse and challenge God. Remember the Old Testament Scriptures (see I Kings 18)where evil priests performed signs and wonders, in the same way God’s prophets did? Of course, the devil’s signs were always one-upped by God’s signs, but my point is, the devil is capable of using signs and wonders of his own to confuse and bring doubt to the hearts of seekers.

In the end, there’s only one important thing we must do–hang tightly to God, draw near and seek His face, asking for discernment and wisdom. He is the source of wisdom, and He promises to never let us down. He says when we lack wisdom we must only ask, and He will give us what we need. And if that’s true, we are already victorious as we simply keep our eyes on Him.

And if this discussion seems strange, consider this: God wants us to be equipped, ready in season and out of season to defend our faith. That means we have studied and are not taken by surprise by things we don’t understand. Let’s draw near, fill our minds and hearts with the truth of His Word, studying to show ourselves approved, and most of all, fall in love with Jesus, the One who never, ever fails.

Because of His great love,

Nancy
