Listening to the Lord
In our day we need to listen to the voice of the Lord more than ever before. The Lord can give us wisdom beyond our finite minds if we seek Him with prayer and fasting, and then listen and obey what He says.
God is going to lead His people in ways we in our generation have rarely ever seen. We who love Him and are called by His name, can be used in amazing ways if we’re willing and not afraid to step out in faith.
What about you? Will you step out and trust Him when He speaks to you specifically?
If we are willing to open our hands to God to let Him pour through us, we will not be able to handle the blessings with which He blesses us.
God is challenging His people to get out of the box and ask Him for things in faith, not to use on their lusts, but to give away. And if we’re willing to do that, and can be trusted, He will bless us more than we can ever dreamed.
The key is listening to the Lord and obeying.
I can testify to this, because tomorrow I will go and send my 6th- $1000 Western Union pmt. (within 3 months) to my Kenya friend/evangelist, Gideon Mudenyo, who is using the money to buy food and seed for starving people, and winning people to the Lord in droves.
I’ve never had extra money, but since I asked, the Lord has been bringing it a day at a time, enough for me to give it away when God says to bless the poor.
I think this is the time when God is saying, “Test Me now, and see what I will do if your hearts are right and you ask me.” And the thing is, if we don’t we will leave much undone that He had planned for us.
As I said yesterday I’m getting really excited to see what the Lord will do when every inch of my heart is sold out to Him and I ask Him for ways to bless others.
