No More Straddling the Fence
If you’re like me you’ve probably received many emails regarding the similarities between Germany of the 1940s and our own America now. It seems as if we are repeating history.
In the forties Germany had just seen the growth of wealth when suddenly it all began to fall, but what did the people care about? All they wanted was someone who would promise to keep the economy going–to maintain their high standard of living, at any cost. So who fit the bill in that regard? A relative unknown by the name of Adolph Hitler.
He had no track record so the Germans gambled that he would save them and their level of economic security, and because he knew what they wanted, he promised them exactly that. But what did he really do once he got the job? He took them down a road they had never dreamed of–toward evil and strife and untold heartache and grief. He became unforgettable all right–for all the wrong things.
What about today in America? Well, we’ve voted in a man we didn’t know, who promised nothing but change, and we’ve watched as, in less than six months, he’s proposed the destruction of everything we’ve ever held dear. So what are we doing about it?
Well, while we still have the right to speak out, to protest and to make our voices heard, we’d better use it to protect our culture or soon, even that may be lost if our leader has his way.
He’s made no bones about it, nor has he denied that he is a Muslim–he’s even apologizing to the Muslim countries on behalf of America. Who is this man and why is no one making any attempt to stop him?
I pray that we wake up before it’s too late–that we become alarmed and upset, angry and and ready to speak out in emails, letters to the editor, and letters, faxes and phone calls to our legislators, before our leadership has sold us into slavery. We’re already in financial bondage to those to whom we’ve mortgaged our children’s future.
Now is the time to pray and ask God for wisdom and not to sit and wait and see what happens, because the end won’t be pretty.
Ask God to stir the fire in your belly, not just for America but for Jesus, so you can be on fire once again. God hates anything lackadaisical or lukewarm. He said He would rather that we be hot or cold, but He would spit out what is lukewarm.
So let’s get on the ball and seek righteousness as never before. I don’t want to have blood on my hands when it’s all over.
What about you? Some of you are gifted and have been commissioned by God to do more than just passive things. He has anointed you with leadership qualities and wisdom, but you have ignored God’s calling to political leadership, and without you we face certain defeat. If this describes you, I challenge you to stand up and take your place before you have to answer to God for saying no.
Remember this quote and let it echo in your heart: The only thing it takes for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing.
Because of His great love,
Nancy
